Almanart suggests: What to do this weekend?

Our suggestions for this hot and sunny weekend are focused on the cities of Shkodra, Lezha, Kruja, Korça, Pogradec and Vlora.

Shkodra

In Shkodër, from June 5-9, the “Erani i Artit” will be held with 45 films, 3 exhibitions, 4 site-specific video installations, performances, talks with special guests and countless hours of music and dance at the Shkodra Castle. The locations will be “Shkodra Art House”, “Arka” Center, Shkodra Art Gallery, “Oda” Gallery, Museum of Memory and Memory, Franciscan Auditorium, “Republika” Cinema, Shkodra Castle. The concert “Ramë Lahaj & Friends” will be held in Shirokë on Saturday, June 8, a concert with free entrance by the Shkodra Lake. Also, on June 7, the meeting “Text as an archive” will be held with Ardian Vehbi of Sait Sait, the publisher of “Word Landscapes” at the “Marin Barleti” Library in Shkodër. Lezha

In Lezhë, on June 5-11, the “UNUM” Festival will be held in the Shengjin area, a festival dedicated to techno music for lovers of this music. The “Little Prince” Children’s Theater will also be performed in collaboration with the National Experimental Theater “Kujtim Spahivogli”. There is no shortage of nightlife activities.

In Krujë on June 7, “Folk On” Concert will be held at Krujë Castle by the Folk Dance Ensemble of the Opera and Ballet Theater, a concert dedicated to traditional Albanian folk music.

Korça and Pogradeci

Korça invites you on Saturday, June 8, to the “Carnivals of Korça” with masked parades, music, concerts throughout the Old Bazaar area. Also, on June 7, a concert will be held with the students of the “Tefta Tashko Koço” Music School near the “A.Z. Çajupi” Korçë Theater.

Pogradeci welcomes “Vala Fest” with music from various singers on the evening of June 8. The Children’s Puppet Theater Festival “Xinxifilo” is also held with different shows from different cities, where it will close on June 9 at the Odeon, by the lake.

In the area of ​​Dhërmi, the “Kala Festival” is being held, a festival that has been going on for several editions, where techno music dominates, sports and leisure activities, yoga, which all take place by the sea.
